I rely on my phone’s hotspot when traveling, especially in hotels where public WiFi isn’t ideal. I usually connect my tablet and my kid’s Switch so we can stay online without any issues.
Does World Mobile limit how many devices can connect to a hotspot at once? I typically use around 30GB a month and just want a reliable way to stay connected across all my devices.
Hey @anon1813866
welcome!
Good news: World Mobile doesn’t set a hard cap on how many devices you can connect to your hotspot. The limit comes from your phone itself. Most iPhones and Android devices let you share your connection with 5–10 devices at once, and that holds true on World Mobile plans too.
A couple of things to keep in mind:
- While you’re within your 30GB of high-speed data on the Advanced plan, your tethered devices will get full 4G/5G performance, just like your phone.
- After that, data is still unlimited, but speeds are reduced until your cycle resets. That slower tier is fine for email and chat, but gaming or heavy streaming on multiple devices will feel sluggish.
- Battery drain can be real when running hotspot for long sessions, so plugging in is always a good idea.
So for your setup with a tablet and a Switch, you’ll be fine. Just keep an eye on your high-speed allowance, and you’ll have a reliable way to stay connected across all your devices.
