International roaming

Hi everyone,

I’m a bit confused about how international roaming works with the Essential and Advanced plans. I haven’t been able to find a clear answer on whether data roaming in other countries is included, offered as an add-on, or not available at all.

If it is supported, which plans actually cover it? Any clarification would be appreciated!

The Essential and Advanced plans are designed for use within the United States. They include unlimited calls, texts, and data in the U.S., with 10GB and 30GB of high-speed priority data, respectively. Once you leave the country, those plans don’t include international data, calls, or texts — so there’s no roaming coverage by default.

If you need international access, there are a few good alternatives:

  1. Global Access Plan
This is a separate, data-only plan with 20GB of high-speed data that works in over 70 countries. It also supports hotspots. It’s the easiest option if you travel frequently or across multiple countries and just need reliable data without changing your main plan.

  2. World Mobile Travel eSIMs
These prepaid eSIMs provide data for a specific country or region, usually lasting 30, 60, or 90 days. They’re data-only (no phone number, calls, or texts) and are ideal for short trips or as a backup connection while abroad.

  3. Premier Reward Global Roaming Perks
If you’re part of Premier Reward, staking WMTx unlocks monthly roaming data as part of your tier benefits:

  • Silver Tier (10,000 WMTx): 1GB
  • Gold Tier (50,000 WMTx): 3GB
  • Platinum Tier (100,000 WMTx): 5GB
  • Black Tier (250,000 WMTx): 10GBIt’s a nice bonus if you’re already staking or plan to join Premier Reward.

Looking ahead, World Mobile may introduce roaming add-ons or international packs for the Essential and Advanced plans, but nothing official has been announced yet.

At these price points, I was definitely expecting at least some international roaming to be included with the Essential and Advanced plans. Having to buy a separate plan or Travel eSIM every time feels a bit much. And the premier staking perks for roaming require a pretty big stake, not really worth it unless you’re already deep into the ecosystem.
