International Roaming on World Mobile

Does anyone know if World Mobile includes international roaming with their U.S. Essential or Advanced plans? I haven’t found any clear info about data roaming, so I’m assuming it’s not included, but I’d like to be sure.

If it’s not built in, how easy is it to switch to the Global Access plan while traveling? Also curious if World Mobile has mentioned any plans to add international roaming or travel add-ons in the future.

You’re right, the U.S. Essential and Advanced plans don’t include built-in international roaming. If you’re traveling abroad, you’d need to use the Global Access plan, which is a separate, data-only option that works in over 70 countries.

That said, there’s a nice perk if you’re part of Premier Reward. Starting from the Silver Tier, you get access to a Global Travel eSIM with 1GB of international data each month. Higher tiers increase that allowance: 3GB for Gold, 5GB for Platinum, and 10GB for Black.

So if you’re already staking and moving up the tiers, you’ll have some international data built into your rewards.

Thanks for the welcome, @Coffee_WMTX!

Good to know about the Global plan and the staking perks for international data.

Is switching to the Global plan pretty straightforward? And would I keep my number? Also, any chance they’re planning to add international options for the Essential or Advanced plans down the line?

Appreciate the info!

You’re right, the U.S. Essential and Advanced plans don’t include international roaming, so once you’re outside the States, those plans won’t cover calls, texts, or data.

If you’re traveling short term (a couple of weeks to a month or two), the easiest option is to add a Travel eSIM for the country or region you’re visiting while keeping your Essential or Advanced plan active in the background. That way, you keep your number and regular service but still get local data abroad.

If you’re traveling long term or moving between multiple countries, the Global Access plan is a better fit. It’s data-only, works in 70+ countries, supports hotspot use, and can run alongside your main plan as a secondary eSIM. (Just note that it doesn’t include a phone number unless you keep your U.S. plan active.)

If you’re part of Premier Reward on the Essential or Advanced plan, you also get monthly international data based on your tier:

  • Silver: 1GB
  • Gold: 3GB
  • Platinum: 5GB
  • Black: 10GB

That can cover some roaming without needing a separate plan.

There’s no official announcement yet about international roaming add-ons for the Essential or Advanced plans, but it’s likely something that will be added as the service expands.

Switching eSIMs is super quick and easy

If you’re traveling to one specific country for a short trip, the Travel eSIM is probably your best bet. It’s a lot more cost-effective than signing up for the full 20GB Global Access plan, which is better suited for frequent travelers or longer stays.

Would love to see an international add-on for the Essential and Advanced plans at some point. It’d make short trips way more convenient without having to juggle multiple plans.
