🌍 International Texting with Global Access Plan

Hey everyone!

I’m considering the Global Access plan and wanted to clarify how international texting works. From what I understand, World Mobile offers global coverage, but does that mean you can send and receive international text messages without extra charges?

I often spend weeks overseas, and while I don’t necessarily need to send texts, I want to make sure I can receive them without unexpected fees.

Anyone using World Mobile who can confirm how this works? Appreciate any insights—thanks in advance!

Hey @anon4385483, welcome to the community!

The Global Access plan is data-only, so it doesn’t support traditional SMS texting. That means you won’t be able to send or receive standard carrier texts.

Instead, all your messaging runs over data. Apps like WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, or Skype will work anywhere your plan has coverage. If you’re on iPhone, iMessage also works seamlessly over data or Wi-Fi, so you can keep texting just like at home.
